Proximity
Georgetown is around twenty-eight miles north of downtown Austin. You can easily head into Austin for work or enjoy one of Austin’s fabulous entertainment venues. Easy access to I-35 also makes it easy to get to Waco or Dallas. Or head south down to San Antonio.
You’ll find most major shopping centers nearby too. A short drive away, head to Round Rock to see the Round Rock Express take the field or enjoy both indoor and outdoor water parks. Explore the neighboring cities of Leander or Cedar Park.
Home Prices
Although a recent lack of inventory has resulted in prices going up, compared to Austin you’ll see that you can get more bang for your buck when you buy in Georgetown. Median home prices in Williamson county are $435,000 while Travis county is $550,000. However, homes that are currently on the market in Georgetown start in the $285,000 range so you can easily find something within your budget.
Outdoor Adventure
Plenty of outdoor adventures await in Georgetown. A favorite attraction for locals and visitors alike, Blue Hole Park is located just a few blocks from downtown Georgetown. Have a burger at Hat Creek Burger Company and then take a short walk downhill to take a refreshing dip in the lagoon at Blue Hole Park.
Running and biking trails can be found all over the Georgetown area, including a trail system that runs through Blue Hole. Head on out to Georgetown Lake for more outdoor adventures.

Historic charm and new developments collide in Georgetown. The historic square downtown includes the courthouse that is over 100 years old. Voted as being one of the Most Beautiful Town Squares in Texas, the square is home to many local businesses that embrace the historic facade on the outside and modern conveniences on the inside. Take a trip to yesteryear, bring the whole family, including the dog, and have a walk around the square.
Did that walk leave you hungry? Never fear, Georgetown offers a wide variety of eateries to satisfy your hunger. Sit down to some spectacular salmon at Wildfire, grab a smoothie at Hydrate, or get a slice at Romeo’s Pizza.
Georgetown is looking to the future with several new commercial and mixed-use developments. North Park 35 is the city’s first master plan business park and is soon to be home to Costco. On the west side of town, you’ll find Vista@29 which has office and retail space that residents can easily access.
Currently, in development, Parmer Ranch is a 454-acre mixed-use residential project. Residents of the one thousand single-family homes will enjoy a community center and swimming pool. They’ll be able to enjoy the area’s natural attractions as well as a pond and trails. Included in the development are office, medical and commercial spaces, and food truck park.
